Il favoloso mondo di Alice: e se il ruolo della vita fosse essere sé stessi?

The Fabulous World of Alice: What If the Role of Life Is to Be Yourself?

Posted by Carolina Amirfeiz on

Sisterine, I’m back…and with a super guest, a Genoese like me!

When I created this blog, I dreamed of a space where beauty wasn’t just about products but about people, stories, nuances. A place to talk about beauty like chatting with friends: with irony, heart, and no filters (except those for dark circles).

Then came Alice.

Actress, a true Genoese, and the star of our short film Daylicious, but above all, a woman who tells her story with rare intensity.

Alice moves between different worlds with the curious gaze of someone who knows how to find beauty even where it’s not obvious.

She has the delicacy of someone who listens before speaking, but also the strength of someone who has decided that changing skin, every now and then, is good for you.

We talked about theater and television, but especially about how even a small gesture can become a declaration of intent.

She really seems like she stepped out of a French film (no coincidence she loves Amélie)…she has that genuine and awkward energy that makes you think: “ok, she and I could be friends”.

I leave you to our sisterly chat. It’s made of small, beautiful, sincere words. Like those that stay in your mind at the end of the day.

Spoiler: she would remove the eyeliner from Callas. And I already love her for that.

From the stage to the set, from theater to TV… two different worlds, but ultimately speaking the same language. What do you carry with you from theater when you’re in front of the camera?

The silence. I carry that silence that exists before going on stage, an internal silence that then becomes total concentration of thoughts or non-thoughts.

I have my “must-have” beauty ritual before starting the day… and you? Do you have a small ritual without which you just can’t start?

My ritual is having hydrated lips, if my lips are dry I feel something isn’t quite right.

Makeup for you is also a way to express your personality. Is there a product or makeup that makes you feel “complete,” as if it were your personal signature?

I have always been a big fan of blush, powder or cream, and bright colors. Having colored cheeks, sometimes even too much, is my personal signature.

When we shot the short film Daylicious, you really seemed like you came from an Amélie-like world. Your gaze had something magical, as if you saw the world in color. Did you recognize yourself in that character?

I see a lot of myself in Amélie, I like to observe the details that many don’t notice. I appreciate simple and genuine things and my curiosity remains that of a child.

This is a question I love to ask: do you remember the very first beauty product you stole from your mom or grandma? And today, what is the one product you would never stop buying?

I would never stop buying lipsticks and lip glosses. I think it was the first beauty product I had access to. The ritual of lipstick drives me crazy, all women love doing it. Opening it, smelling that lovely scent, applying it, and finally rubbing the lips to make it stick well. It’s a little story we all learned from our mothers and grandmothers.

I could go out without makeup, but never without lipstick.

I know, this is a bit of a daydream question… but if you could do the makeup for a historic theater character with Blondesister products, who would you choose?

I would probably do Callas’ makeup to make her try something other than eyeliner.

Moving from the theater stage to television is no small thing. Was there a specific moment when you realized it was time to change?

I realized it was time to change because I no longer felt in the right place. I needed to change skin.

For us, makeup is also play, transformation, freedom. When do you feel most free?

I feel free when I feel I can dare, when I step out of my comfort zone, when I say to myself, “hey, why don’t you try this even if you’ve never done it before?”

From the outfit, to taking a different route home, trying something different to eat, a color I never thought I’d wear. Freedom for me is not being afraid.

And when you’re not on stage or in front of the camera, who is Alice in her “pajamas and no makeup” version?

Alice in her pajamas and no makeup version is very chaotic, curious, sometimes irreverent, very messy, frankly inappropriate, sometimes awkward and often loud. I like to break my own mental patterns, I get obsessed with some activities, I’m also a bit of a nerd. I had a phase of baking with sourdough, now I make bags and hats with crochet. Sport remains a constant

(crossfit, my great love and hate).

Ok, we deserve this one. What do you like most about Blondesister? Is there a product that won you over or an aspect of the brand that inspires you? And if you could give us advice, even very direct, what would it be?

I really love the lip oil and eyeshadows from Blondesister. It won me over for its packaging, its practicality, and the continuous evolution of the products.

Advice? Well, obviously launching new products with commercials like the one for Daylicious, starring me ❤️

Alice is one of those people who make you want to try something new, even just a different color on your lips.

She makes you want to let go, to not always be “neat,” to step a little outside the lines, just to see what it feels like.

And if there’s one thing I take away from this interview, it’s that beauty, the real kind, is never composed.

It’s free, it’s curious, it’s loud. Just like Alice.

And speaking of things to take home: yes, we accept the proposal. Next commercial starring you. Maybe without eyeliner, but definitely with a huge smile.

Thank you

Carolina
